Santa Maria aquamarine is one of the finest varieties of beryl, featuring a deeply saturated blue color. It is widely believed to hold the powers of the sea and considered as, “The Stone of the Sea.” In the 1970s, this Contemporary piece was custom designed and exclusively handmade by Carroll’s Jewelers. Magnificent, large and luxurious, this beryl aquamarine gemstone equals an impressive 41.69 carats in total weight. The octagonal-shaped pendant contains one emerald cut aquamarine fine, Top Gem Quality and Free of Inclusions (FI) as well as non-heat treated. It sparkles throughout the 4-prong setting, surrounded by 40 pave-set, brilliant-cut diamonds G in color, with a VS2 clarity grade, equaling 1.64 carats in total weight. The large aquamarine gemstone is held in place by a 4-prong setting, with the gem measuring 22.8 x 19.21 x 14.78 mm. Also, the pendant is enhanced by a fancy, handmade 14K two-tone bail fold-over clasp which secures the stunning blue-green aquamarine gem. It has a stamp marked, “14K” on the white gold frame on the back as well as the words “Carroll’s towards the top. To complete the piece an optional 16-inch two-tone, reversible Omega necklace is featured with a convenient push-button clasp for easy opening and closing. The necklace is 6 mm in width which is sold separately.
